Postdoctoral Researcher – Edition and Material Study of the Cambridge Codex (m/f/d)

Your TasksWe seek a researcher with expertise in Jewish literature of the Middle Ages and (late) antiquity. Their primary task will be the cataloguing of Hebrew and Aramaic sources of the Yiddish texts from the Cambridge Codex (Bible, Midrash, Piyyutim, Talmud). The researcher will co-author the edition, including commentaries, and contribute to parts of the accompanying collective monograph.Your ProfileRequired qualifications:

PhD in (Medieval) Jewish Studies or a related field
Excellent knowledge of Hebrew
Experience in the study of medieval Hebrew sources
Proficiency in English
High philological accuracy
Experience in the use of digital tools

Desirable qualifications:

Experience working with medieval manuscripts
Experience in editorial projects
